How to reach
By Road
There are two routes to reach Ladakh, first from Srinagar to Leh and second from Manali to Leh. From Srinagar, Ladakh passes through Zojila Pass, while from Manali, Ladakh reaches through Rohtang Pass. You can go here via bike or car. Apart from this, direct buses run from Jammu, Srinagar and Delhi to Ladakh.
By Rail
The nearest railway station to Ladakh is Jammu Tawi, which is about 700 km away from Ladakh. To go further, you have to travel by taxi or bus. It takes about two days to reach Ladakh from Jammu Tawi and the taxi fare comes to around 9-10 thousand rupees.
By Air
You can reach Ladakh in a very short time by airplane. The timing of flights to go here are fixed differently in winter and summer. The Leh Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport is the nearest airport. To reach here, you will have to pay around two to three thousand rupees.

Best time to visit

From April to July
Summer is the best time to go to Leh Ladakh. During this time all the routes are open for the tourists. The sky remains clear and the beauty of Leh Ladakh is clearly visible. July to September

October to March
During these months the entire area of Ladakh remains covered with snow and most of the roads remain closed. Due to which it is not possible to go to Ladakh.The temperature in this season remains between 0oC and 15oC .
