Instagram: 6 Reasons You Make My Everyday – Dumpor Instagram is at the top of my list of everyday pleasures. When I started using Instagram, I was looking for inspiration and motivation for the kitchen. 99.9% of my photos are of meals I made. The reason for this is to show that preparing delicious, healthy meals does not require a chef trained in the Culinary Institute of America, nor does it require many fancy ingredients. I love to make my meals simple and delicious, hence the hashtags #KeepItSimple and #KeepItTasty. There is no reason to mask the flavor of your meal’s ingredients with ingredients that don’t enhance the flavor of the dish or serve a purpose.
Along the way, Instagram has taken on a different role in my daily life. The inspiration and motivation were there, but the unintentional comedy rose to new levels. Before I talk about my favorite pictures, let me just say I love to laugh and these pictures help take the stress out of life, even for a few moments. If you use Instagram, I think you might agree with these photos because they make you laugh when you scroll through the photos on your iPhone or iPad. – Hjdh

Pictures of the artist in the cafe
We’ve all seen these pictures. The one baristas only called at Starbucks? You see heart shapes all the time, but I’ve never seen a face or an animal. These pictures always make me laugh as I imagine a person ordering a cappuccino hoping to savor that steamed milk and hot coffee and relieve their stress and result in a heart. Who decides the barista gets the heart? Why would a person on Instagram decide another heart-shaped milkshake picture is something they post. We understand. Coffee shroud. let’s continue!
Quest Bar Pictures
I’m not sure when the Quest Bar became the face of healthy eating, but if you visit Healthy Nutrition, there’s almost certainly a photo of the Quest Bar. And not only is it just a Quest Bar, but this product has been cut up and put into cookies and cakes, sliced and tossed in yogurt and so many other forms of use that this post is taking too long. I’ve never had a Quest Bar before and probably never will, so I can’t comment on the taste. Why do Instagram photos make me laugh? They are everywhere and you can’t go a day without seeing a picture of them.
Starbucks
I mentioned artist photos of coffee makers above, but not a day goes by without pictures of Starbucks mugs. They can only be outside the cup, they can be inside the cup. I’ve even seen pictures of the interior of Starbucks. I see them and think to myself: I bought a Starbucks coffee and somewhere between paying and drinking decided you needed to photograph it, but did you taste it first? Did you sit down and chat with your friends and pause the conversation to take a picture? I have a lot of ideas running through my head and laughing because I’m setting up a conversation that might not happen, but is in my opinion funny.
cupcake
This is my third favorite photo on Instagram. I don’t know why it breaks me when I see them, but they do. On the inside I think to myself: When you can’t bake, use the microwave. Maybe I secretly want to make cupcakes. I’m not sure, but I’m sure that when the pictures appear on Instagram, I laugh so hard. I can say I’ve seen some pretty cool mug cake creations like melted chocolate cake. That’s amazing in my mind, but old man I put in one egg and protein powder and whatever else, and voila I ‘bake’ a protein-only mug cake.
Green Juices
This is just killing me. They’re on Instagram in droves and they make me laugh because my thinking is, Wow, you know how to use your blender. It’s a kitchen joke, of course, but how many pictures of green smoothies anyone can see before thinking: Cool, now try to cook these greens one way or another. I know smoothies are fast and I make them too, but when I make them I don’t share them on Instagram because I’ve done nothing but add water, vegetables, and fruits to my blender. I want my Instagram feed to be inspiring and motivating to get people into the kitchen to cook, but still, if a green smoothie makes someone start down the path of health, I’m all for it. Let me be clear and say that there is absolutely nothing wrong with green smoothies or smoothies in general, only when you see 20-50 pictures of green smoothies a day do you just have to laugh.
Flies before, during or after training
This is my all-time favorite. The floppy photo is the best, but today I’m showing my girlfriend Marilyn from Mission To A (nother) Marathon because her selfies made me breathe really hard. I love when she posts pictures of herself from the bathroom in her office after a sweaty run or jog and her face tells the whole story. My favorite picture of Marilyn is in her swimming goggles because she looks like those guys in Despicable Me hence my nickname for her is Despicable Marlene. Selfies are the gift that keeps on giving because you know you’ll see dozens of them at any given time and one is funnier than the other. Do you wait until the bathroom is clean to take the photo? Don’t you care if the bathroom is full?
These 6 reasons why Instagram will always have a place in my daily routine. How you can’t laugh at some of the things you see on Instagram is far from me. There’s a lot of inspiration and motivation, like the 21 Day Sugar Detox I’ll be posting on Monday, but some of them are comical, too. I really enjoy following the people on my feed to generate creative cooking ideas, take me to the gym and make me laugh.
As a social media marketer, I see a lot of cool and not so great campaigns that take advantage of Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and other social platforms, but these 6 reasons why I always go to Instagram more than twice a day. As they say, pictures are worth 1000 words and in my case at least 1000 laughs.
