We all have been guilty of not eating healthy or just not looking after our bodies enough. Sometimes we really want to work on it but then life happens which means you involve yourself with work which means you don’t work out or make conscious eating decisions. If you feel that you are finally ready for a healthy start then this is for you.

Plan your day

Moving into a healthy lifestyle isn’t an easy one. Especially the initial stages are difficult so the key here is to plan your day. If your work or other personal commitments takes too much of your day then try and wake up one hour earlier than usual. Most of us wake up and start scrolling on our phones and before we know it, we are already late for work. So, try to avoid your phone as soon as you wake up, instead start with a glass of water, and finish off your workout.

Remember our energy levels are at peak in the morning so make the best use of it. Also, if cooking is a task, make sure to meal prep this way you will not eat anything that you see. Make sure you stock your fridge with a lot of healthy eatables such as fruits, and vegetables. You can also have ingredients such as organic grass fed beef protein powder. This is great for your heart, kidney, and overall health. Such superfoods make healthy eating super easy and convenient.

Start slow

Remember that you cannot make or break a habit in a day. Good things take time, so don’t be too harsh on yourself. Take baby steps for instance if you cannot finish a full workout don’t worry. Make sure each day you push yourself a little harder and before you realize you would start finding a difference in your body and overall health. This also applies to food, if you have been eating junk for a while it is going to be hard to stop all of it at once. So, start slowly for example if you feel like having a burger then go for it but avoid other accompaniments such as fries or milkshakes.

Get a partner

There will be days when you don’t feel motivated at all and would love to just lounge in the bed. These are the days when you need to push yourself the most and it is going to be hard to do it all alone. So, get a partner it could be your friend or someone from the family. This will always keep you going especially if you are someone who finds workouts difficult.

Lastly, do not cheat. Becoming healthy is a lifestyle and changing a lifestyle is never easy. It is going to require a lot of consistency so the key here is to stay true to yourself. You cannot be skipping workouts, binge eating, and avoiding sleep. It requires all these things to truly change your life for the better. Remember nothing worth having is easy, good things happen to those who work for it.
