The warehousing business has steadily been changing since GST was implemented in the Bangalore Metropolitan Region (BMP). The expansion of logistic businesses that handle warehouses is critical for a city witnessing exponential industrial growth every year. Much of the expansion is a result of ecommerce companies which depend on logistics companies for timely goods delivery. Several logistics and ecommerce firms are now driving efforts to construct suitable logistics parks within Bangalore, India’s first IT hub.

Find Clusters of Warehouses in Neelmangla

Constructing state-of-the-art warehouses across a few strategic regions makes it easier for enterprises to purchase commodities. Nelamangala-Dabaspete and Hoskota-Narsapura are two famous warehouse clusters in northern Bangalore. Expect these clusters to be good for business as they are relatively approachable from Mumbai and Chennai. If you have a company that needs logistics, reach out to a reputable agency that leases a warehouse in Bangalore.

Importance of the Warehouse’s Location

The location of a warehouse is crucial for its purchase and administration. When it comes to picking a warehouse site, business owners must check its ability to distribute merchandise quickly. Proximity to highways and airports is also necessary, which is true of several areas in Bangalore. Likewise, the nearest ports are not far away. Though many people may not understand, weather comfort has a role in deciding on a low-cost storage option.

Ecommerce and the Need for Warehousing

Top ecommerce corporations like Amazon demand 40% of warehouse rents, and this percentage is steadily rising as more brick and mortar enterprises look to commence e-commerce operations. However, because additional server farms are required to support online commerce, tech companies are also responsible for increasing demand. While ecommerce firms demand storage space, IT companies, particularly in Bangalore, need warehouses to maximize space or refurbish an older structure.

Government to Set the Pace for Logistics Parks.

The government’s plan to build multimodal logistics parks and make other efforts to connect urban transit to trains is expected to boost the warehousing industry. The move, once implemented, will draw significant investments from institutional funds and developers.

According to the government, the economy would be strengthened by 25,000 kilometers of ultra-smooth motorways,  the Gati Shakti Master Plan for expressways, 100 cargo ports with multimodal logistic parks, and other efforts to integrate urban transport with rail. Gati Shakti attempts to eliminate building delays caused by gaps in micro-planning and micro-implementation. All planned and ongoing activities across 16 ministries will now be centralized on one GIS platform.

Warehouse Operations Need Better Regulations

A favorable regulatory framework that removes earlier barriers will likely assist the logistics sector. The need for modern warehouses will inevitably increase as the government increases its spending on infrastructure. Companies in the industry should also expect more political support for policy structures and reforms in the coming years.

Logistics and Warehouses are Dependent on Each Other

Without one another, logistics and warehousing would not exist. Warehousing is essential for ensuring that corporate logistics work properly, completing the cycle of adequate storage and transport. Companies may use warehousing as a service by getting warehouses on lease through relevant agencies in India. With time, several businesses will profit from being placed in India’s logistics and industrial parks, which offer all amenities necessary for efficient SCM (Supply Chain Management) within a reasonable area.

COVID-19 Forced Warehouse Automation

Coronavirus discovered a variety of weaknesses in corporations’ supply networks. Supply chain interruptions have damaged businesses in practically every industry sector. Meeting needs was one of the critical problems of firms in all areas. Warehouse automation sprang from the necessity described above and is now the central part of most reputable SCM systems. The pandemic has allowed warehouse rent agencies to spread their network and enable companies to streamline logistics and warehousing.

As the name implies, warehouse automation is the process of moving merchandise in and out of warehouses with little human interaction. Automation eliminates manual data input, data processing, and other labor-intensive tasks. It has several advantages, including improved safer operations, material flow, lower lifetime costs, and lesser time, to mention a few. It has made a difference to the speed and the trust that clients show in warehouses.

Collaboration with a Warehousing Manager

Inventory is held in warehouses under the supervision of warehousing managers as it moves through the supply chain. Order selection, receiving, unloading, and storage of finished items are among the primary responsibilities of a warehouse manager. Experienced managers help businesses expedite cargo shipment while monitoring their employees’ performance. Client company representatives may be assured of appropriate supplies and lighting in the storage space by contacting them. However, coordinating with the warehousing manager is the job of the client, in which the warehousing leasing agency is not involved.

Storage and transport can be massively expensive for companies, but not after the arrival of warehouse lease agencies in India.
