Introduction to shoppable video re-linking
Shoppable video re-linking will allow affiliate creators who have posted shoppable content without a product link to retroactively re-link a product to eligible short videos*. It’s an easy, cost-free way to earn additional commission on past videos — like finding $20 in your pocket from weeks ago that you can earn interest on, while also rediscovering products that you can revisit and review for additional commission.
Shoppable video re-linking offers the following benefits:
- Turn your past videos into shoppable content and start earning commission with little to no effort
- Earn additional commission and share great products from the past with your followers
*To be eligible for this feature, videos must have at least one affiliate-enrolled product that can be linked to the video. Videos must also be policy-compliant and will be reviewed to ensure compliance after re-linking.
How to re-link products to shoppable videos
You’ll receive a notification via your TikTok Inbox letting you know that you’re able to re-link products to specific previously published videos.
You can also access eligible videos via Link Products in TikTok Shop Creator Center, and you may receive a card in your For You Page inviting you to link a product to a past video.
You can select a product from Suggestions, or from the list of products you’re already promoting in your Showcase.
Once the product is linked, users who see the video will now be able to view and purchase the linked product directly from your video.
In Settings, you have the option to receive suggestions for product links on previously posted videos by using the on/off toggle under Product link settings.

We’re introducing this feature on a roll-out basis, so not everyone will have access initially. Check back to the TikTok Shop Toolkit to see if you have eligible products to re-link.
- What criteria determines whether a video is eligible for product re-linking?
A creator’s video is eligible for this feature if at least one affiliate-enrolled product can be linked to the video. Videos must also be policy-compliant and will be reviewed to ensure compliance after re-linking.
