Two athletes from Guangdong, Quan Hongchan and Chen Yiwen, as members of the Chinese diving team will the FINA Diving World Cup 2022 which is taking place in Berlin, Germany, from 20 to 23 October 2022.
Quan Hongchan won 2 gold medals and 1 silver medal at the World Championships three months ago. She will compete in the Women 10m Platform this time. “I have been practicing the 207C dive. I have overcome previous difficulties, and made real progress in my movements.” Quan Hongchan said. If she could win gold medals in the World Cup, Quan will gain the “Grand Slam” of the Olympic Games, World Championships and World Cup within two years.

At the 19th FINA World Championships Budapest 2022, Chen Yiwen won gold medals in the Women 3m Springboard and Women 3m Synchronised. She will participate in these two programme at the World Cup. She said that the rich experience in international competitions made her more mature and self-disciplined. “I practice every dive until I am satisfied.” Chen Yiwen said.
Berlin will feature four individual events (Men 3m Springboard and 10m Platform; Women 3m Springboard and 10m Platform), four synchronised events (Men Synchro 3m and 10m; Women Synchro 3m and 10m), and the Team event.
