The amount of your salary as a chef depends on your professional experience, place of work, and industry. Many companies are bound by collective agreements. As a trained chef in the hotel and catering industry, you can expect a starting salary of 1,800 to 2,300 euros.

How much does a public service cook earn?

After training, you can expect a starting salary of 2,200 to 2,800 euros as a cook in the public sector. These are possible merits for female chefs in some fields. But there are many other sectors and collective bargaining regulations. This means that your earnings as a chef can be lower or higher depending on the state, industry, and collective agreement. Depending on your qualifications, you can also be assigned to other salary groups. And with increasing professional experience, your chef’s salary increases.
