Read Time:3 Minute, 51 Second

Overview

Car is the most important part of life for everyone in this era. Because it converts your long distance to a shorter one. You have saved your all expenses and have the aim in your life that you will buy your own car.  That was the very exciting moment when you bought your new ride for the first time.

In a few months, you give proper care every day. With the passage of your daily routine, you go to neglect little things for your car. But after a few days, you have seen that your car is in big trouble because of your negligence mechanical issues, paint issues, drive issues, etc.

We are living in a society where people observe your personality from your get up, car, cell phone dressing, etc. if you have a car then everyone noticed how much is your car clean. Because it is an important asset in your life.

A beautiful quote is “OLD is Gold”. Old things are always reliable and the feeling for your first car will not remain the same when you will buy another one. But here after you thought you have an old vehicle and its exterior paint is not so good and you want to restore it but no need to worry about it.

First we have to discuss what are reasons for faded car paint?

Let’s face it, general atmosphere is the culprit. Rain, wind, dust, debris, sun, and more contribute to the degradation of the clear coat that protects your car’s paint, creating micro-defects that you can usually see but not understand.

  • Sunlight
  • Traces of cobweb twisting
  • Bird Drops
  • Irregular isolated deep scratches
  • Type of paint
  • Negligence of proper care

Sunlight

Sunlight is the number one cause of faded car paint. The sun’s harsh UV rays affect the pigments in the car paint and can slowly break it down and oxidize it. Over time, the paint will become visibly dull, rough and in more severe cases may even crack in patches.

Traces of cobweb twisting

Spider webbing marks are the most common scratches seen on vehicles. These defects are found beneath the surface and can affect the color, gloss and reflective nature of the paint. Spider swirl marks are caused by a lack of regular washing, incorrect cleaning technique and direction, washing too large areas, using too harsh cleaning media, and washing the top of the vehicle with the same cleaning solution.

The lower part is where most of the pollution occurs. Dirt, dust and other contaminants can easily become embedded in the wash mitt due to spider webbing.

Bird Drops

If left on the surface for too long, shockingly acidic bird droppings can eat away at the paint on your car. If you notice bird droppings on your automobile, take action as soon as you can. Use a wet cloth and mild detergent to gently clean the area. Avoid scrubbing since it might damage your paint.

Irregular isolated deep scratches

These might not be visible to you either, but they frequently become obvious during the paint correction procedure. During first detailed examinations, these flaws are frequently covered up by lighter surface blemishes like spider swirls. Frequently, removing several layers of common minor scratches reveals the issue.

Type of paint

The kind of paint applied to the new cars may enhance its resistance to fading. A vehicle that has been painted using a base coat and clear coat independently is just less likely to fade than an automobile that has been painted using a single-stage paint that blends the color and clear coat together.  Applying a clear coat over a base coat can offer UV protection and help stop the paint from fading.

Negligence of proper care

Your paintwork will either sparkle or dull based on how well you take care of your automobile. Regular car washers and waxes increase the likelihood that their vehicles’ finishes will remain in good shape.
